Your doctor will decide when you are ready to leave the hospital. Discharges are generally scheduled after 11 a.m. Please keep in mind that the day and time of your discharge may change depending on your condition.

Discharge checklist

• Arrange for pick up from the hospital

• Review written instructions from your doctor and be sure to ask any questions you may have about medications, activities and diet after discharge

• Make sure you have scheduled any follow-up appointments, treatments and/or care you may need.

• Pack everything you brought with you including any of your own medications.

• All bills are paid, discharge papers are collected
